Your baby’s eyes have barely had a chance to adjust to the light of the world outside of the womb, therefore natural light provides the safest and most pleasing source of light. This offers a lot of possibilities of capturing your little one’s priceless facial expressions too.

Newborn photos represent a moment in time that you can never replace, so make sure to schedule the session no more than ten days following the birth of your little one!

How I work

I like to schedule newborn sessions during the first few weeks following the birth as this gives me the chance to capture those unique facial expressions. Babies also tend to sleep more often during those first few weeks, which helps me get the best shots too.

If you’re unable to attend the shoot yourself due to a difficult birth, we can always schedule the shoot at home if you would prefer the shots to have a more lifestyle-type look and feel..
